The CDC is currently updating its requirements for dogs returning to the United States, particularly those coming from high-risk rabies countries. It's essential to complete all required paperwork and examinations before leaving the U.S. If a dog leaves the country without fulfilling these steps, they will need to re-enter the U.S. as if they were a foreign-vaccinated dog.
Owners must use the CDC’s website and checklists to determine the necessary requirements and timelines for their dogs’ travel.
Certification of U.S.-Issued Rabies Vaccination: We can complete the form and submit for USDA endorsement. The cost is $170 to complete and submit the form and $101 for USDA Endorsement.
Important Note: Until July 31, 2025, a USDA-endorsed health certificate can temporarily replace the Certification of U.S.-Issued Rabies Vaccination form.
For countries requiring original ink USDA endorsement for international health certificates, we will help you create an overnight UPS express shipping label to avoid any delays. Costs usually start around $70-100.
