Dietary Planning

At Walker Veterinary Hospital, we believe in “we are what we eat.” Nutrition is especially important, and we can guide you through the process of selecting the best diet based on your concerns and your pet’s needs. We can control and prevent certain diseases through the right diet, which will help our pets live longer, happier and healthier lives.

After your examination, our veterinarians can determine which type of diet (commercial or prescription/therapeutic), and how much to feed based on your pet’s stage of life, health needs, and body condition.

Do not ever give your pets these toxic food items: chocolate, grapes, raisins, onion, garlic, or anything containing xylitol (artificial sweetener).

Good value and knowledgeable. No waiting most of the time. Always 2-3 doctors at a time and weekend care available which is appreciated. All of our three dogs been going to Walker Vet for some time now. Never any complaints.

After 2 trips to vet this week alone, both unexpected and urgent, I am 100% convinced there is no better vet around than Dr. Boden here at Walker Veterinary Hospital. He is the most caring and sweetest doctor I’ve ever taken my dogs to and I’ve tried at least 5 others in the area. This is our primary vet from now on!
